First: Cultural Planning Department

It consists of the planning and cultural awareness and education sections. They perform the following functions and competences

• Suggesting long and short term cultural plans to contribute to the education of the children of the Omani society, in order to adhere to Islamic values, and connect with the culture of the Islamic nation, its civilization, historical and cultural legacy, in accordance with the era’s requirements and evolutionary thought.
• Developing comprehensive operational plans for the activities of the cultural center in the Sultanate and implementing the latter in coordination with the competent parties.
• Providing recommendation with the help of external consultants and experts to study and evaluate cultural programming work methods and develop religious educational systems.
•  Following-up on the preparation of course material for the cultural center publications and supervising their implementation and providing consultancy in relation thereto.
• Participating in the publications of the center through writing articles on Islamic culture and civilization, heritage and historical legacy to keep up with modernization.
• Organizing conferences and seminars related to the cultural center specializations in coordination with the competent parties inside and outside the center.
• All other tasks assigned to the department in the scope of its competence.
